Incoming buckets

Send tasks to people and teams; accept them, or refuse them with a reason.

Every person and every team has an incoming bucket: the place where tasks sent by others arrive. Your own incoming is in the sidebar, with the number of tasks waiting.

Sending a task

  • From a task's page, Send to… a person or a team, with an optional message and, for a team, its owner there.
  • Or create a task straight into someone's incoming (Send a task on their page).

A task sent to an incoming can have the plain Task type, or a type offered by the recipient's pipes that you can see: the open pipes of someone else's space (their private pipes never show through), or every pipe of your own space or team.

Accepting or refusing

A member of the receiving space:

  • accepts the task into one of its pipes and columns — and can turn it into a type that pipe offers;
  • or refuses it with a reason: it goes back to the sender's incoming, and the sender is told.

Recipients are told at once in the app, and by e-mail or push notification according to their settings.

Confidential tasks

Tasks of confidential and team-only pipes cannot be sent out of their space: their content stays where it belongs.
